It has been one full week since I was banded. It’s pretty simple folks, I am extremely glad I had it done and I have zero regrets. My fasting sugars have dropped from 596 to a nice and safe 106. Now that’s incredible!!! And it’s only been a week’s time but I haven’t felt any left knee joint pain or any left foot/leg pain either. I have stepped up my walking and am finding enjoyment in doing so too. Also, I thought I’d never be able to just eat ONE CUP of anything but I have accomplished just that and a week later of doing it three times a day … I’m actually FULL when I’m done too.
I have one more week — till July 11th on the full liquid diet, then I move to soft foods like scrambled eggs, hard cheeses/string cheese, cottage cheese, avocados, cut up chicken, chicken salad, tuna salad, small noodles (frog-eyed size) … to name a few. This Stage III diet will last for three weeks. I’m excited to start getting protein through chicken and eggs. But again, I am just going day by day.
