Compliments Galore

Today has been a whirlwind of nothingness really. I woke up bright and early on my second day off at 0730 and actually left my bed to shower. Having most of your hair chopped off was a dream come true with my shampoo and I. From there, it took me about 3 minutes to “fix” it. It took me longer to find my hair dryer buried deep within a pile of gunk that I haven’t yet unpacked from moving during Memorial Day (week).

The stylist who did my hair yesterday, took about 35 minutes to fix my hair. Yeah, I’m not that girl. Flat irons are for chicks who want to waste away time standing in their bathroom. Again, that’s not me. And my locks turned out fabulous within those three minutes.

Next I drove to my car dealership for “the works” to be done on my Focus. I ended up watching the Today Show which I never ever do and 47 minutes later, I was back in my car for home.

I watched one of my favorite shows City Confidential on A&E for two hours then took a two hour nap. I ate lunch late and headed out to the Wellness Center to workout. And I walked there too. I saw several cronies who just blurted out kind compliments on my no-more hair. And they were sincere. I could tell. And I walked just a little faster on the treadmill because of the boost of confidence.

Walking home, I stopped quickly to grab my mail — mailing a card to the Aurora (CO) Police Department telling them they are my newest heroes — and figured since I was already sweaty from the Wellness Center, I would hoof it three extra blocks to the Post Office. And I did. Got a gallon of 1% milk next and strolled home in the hot prairie heat.

Found a bunch of cool “pins” on Pinterest including some yummy weight loss recipes and lap band info too. I bought a muffin tin at The Dollar Tree yesterday so am planning on making some quiches and other awesome deliciousness soon (in that handy cute little pan).

So that’s been my Tuesday. My newest favorite show to watch on Tuesdays is found on the National Geographic Channel at 2100. American Colony: Meet The Hutterites. I found it by accident earlier in the month and it has broadened my horizon of learning more about our neighbors in Bon Homme County too.

Overall opinion of Tuesday, July 24, 2012: I followed the rules with all three of my meals. I did not snack once and I have already drank all of my water that I am told to drink daily. No cheating or thoughts of cheating was involved in my thoughts today AND I got in my daily exercise as well.

I love my new hair or lack of and I still love my wonky looking toe polish. Life is good.

My 8-year quest of being BANDED finally happened on June 27, 2012!!! While it will be nice to shed some pounds, my number one goal is to get HEALTHY ... And to get off ALL my diabetic meds and not have to rely on my CPAP at night and for naps. A few years back I made a decision to only surround myself with positive people and I have never looked back. At times I may be snarky perhaps a little wonky and I will apologize right now if I offend anyone as I blog about my life as I know it. Peace & love to all of my wonderful supporters.

  1. wonderful post, very informative. I wonder why the other specialists of this sector do not notice this. You should continue your writing. I’m confident, you’ve a great readers’ base already!
