Prunes prunes the magical fruit! I motored to my mom’s today for lunch. Pork chops, sweet potatoes and grilled veggies. And gravy. I ate one half of the small pork chop and then ate another half. Again it was a small pork chop. I had a spoonful of yams and many grilled veggies. It was delish.
Did I overeat? No. But I really did NOT need to eat the large goo-goo cluster that she had offered for dessert. That just sat in my belly like a lump of coal. I got back to my complex and slowly started to eat some fruity prunes. Old eating disorder habits started muffling up my melon and instead of purging (for fear of damaging my band) … I figured prunes would do the same trick.
Later in the afternoon, I marched over to the Wellness Center and did 10 minutes on the elliptical on level 8. And instead of trying to run on the treadmill, I tried something new. I’ve been lazy on the treadmill and have only been doing level 1 on manual for years.
Today, I tried “random” and hit level 4 and my speed at 3.1 for the first 15 minutes. Next I tried “hill” on level 2 with a speed of 2.9. It was an awesome 30 minute workout. I could really feel it in my butt and legs. And boy did I ever sweat! Jeesh.
I walked home completely soaked in sweat. But man, did it ever feel great. I’m in my jammies now after a hot bubble bath and am ready to lounge about, watch the Olympics and perhaps doing a little painting. I found a cool idea on Pinterest about drawing on white plates that I bought at the Dollar Tree with Sharpies .. then baking the plates for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool eh? ….so am back to munching on prunes and drinking a lot of water!!!
I may just have a prune sandwich for supper and call it a day.
ADDENDUM: 2053 … I ended up having the leftover 1/2 pork chop and 1/2 cup of grilled veggies cold.
