Day One of my mini-break is off to a fantastic start!!! I slowly swallowed a delicious smoothie that consisted of: 2 scoops of my chocolate whey protein powder; 2 cups of 1% milk; a cup of vanilla yogurt; 2 tablespoons of creamy peanut butter; 1 caramel Vita-Calcium Chew; 4 ice cubes all blended up in the blender — for breakfast around 10AM … then grabbed my backpack and hoofed it on foot to the Bargain Shoppe and down Main Street to hit up the Post Office and grocery store. By the time I walked home, my T-shirt was soaking wet from sweat. A nice visual I know!
I am not even hungry for lunch … so I feel good about that. I may eat a snack around 1500 or so but I am not going to eat just to say I ate lunch. I have already drank 96 ounces of water and it’s only 1328. I have been up since 0930. I am no where near my old habits of drinking three gallons of water a day — because my diabetes has improved immensely since my lap band surgery but I also want to fill up on water instead of something worth a lot of calories.
I still need to get over to the Wellness Center sometime today but between now and then I may have to schedule in a cozy nap with all the fans on me 🙂
