Enjoying my Day Off

My 8.5 cc’s in my lap band is still holding strong. I am able to eat a little more solid food than before but it is still making me full a lot faster than it was from end of June till September 27th. I still have zero complaints with how I feel about eating and not eating and not being hungry. At. All.

I am learning to truly eat more slowly and grinding up literally everything I shove into my pie hole too. I also am stopping completely when I feel full.

This morning for my “brunch” I fixed myself some Stroganoff noodles …. the kind that comes in the little shiny paper bag for like 89 cents. Former Amy could wolf that down in mere minutes. Lap Band Amy … 40 minutes after having it sit in front of me, took the 1/2 eaten bowl of noodles back to the kitchen and put it in the fridge for another meal.

Yesterday I tried a chicken salad, lettuce and pickle wrap and it took me 25 minutes of my 30 minute lunch break to eat it. Next time I am going to skip the tortilla and just eat it maybe with just the lettuce. And I had no issues eating M&Ms a little bit later 🙂

The next two days (my days off from the full-time gig) will be busy. Later this afternoon, I’ll head over to my part-time gig till around 10PM … and tomorrow, I will be attending my first vendor fair of the season in Scotland (SD)! I am super thrilled to be going and showing off some of my new paintings. Also on Saturday, the 20th, I’ll be in Avon (SD) at another vendor fair.

I should be doing something constructive like finally washing my sink full of dishes … but all I really want to do is hang out on the couch watching City Confidential and lying low.

My 8-year quest of being BANDED finally happened on June 27, 2012!!! While it will be nice to shed some pounds, my number one goal is to get HEALTHY ... And to get off ALL my diabetic meds and not have to rely on my CPAP at night and for naps. A few years back I made a decision to only surround myself with positive people and I have never looked back. At times I may be snarky perhaps a little wonky and I will apologize right now if I offend anyone as I blog about my life as I know it. Peace & love to all of my wonderful supporters.
