This afternoon I am going to “pay it forward” to one of my Schmidt homies and her two daughters. I have been making piles of my “too big” clothes now for a few weeks and have been contemplating on what to do with them.
First I thought ebay… but what a chore that is. And I’m not fond of the fees they suck out of you. I tossed around a few other ideas but again that requires a lot more organization than I really wanna do. So I asked my coworker last night and one of her daughters and they were really excited to look through my clothes and Crocs.
She and I work together tonight at Schmidt’s so I said I’d bring them along and the daughter can go through them at their house. I said to pass them on to others whatever they don’t want or to donate to our local Bargain Shoppe.
Most recently, someone I met through my lap band blog, payed it forward to me. And I was so over joyed and relieved that I would not have to go out and buy clothes for the stage that I am in currently. I got a large box full of Old Navy shirts, a dress, a pair of pants and two gorgeous winter coats. Perfect for our nasty South Dakota winters.
So from that, I feel I can donate my nice clothes to my coworker and her girls. Mind you, I am not going to give away my really nice shirts I bought at Catherines as some of them are almost brand new, maybe worn once, if that. I’ll try to sell those for sure … but the jeans that fell off of me last Tuesday, hopefully will be at my coworker’s home tonight.
Be kind …. and pay it forward to someone who is less fortunate than you are. It does your soul some good 🙂
