Times Are Changing

I currently still have:

  • High Blood Pressure
  • High Cholesterol
  • Type 2 Diabetes

Before my lap band surgery, I used to have:

  • Low Self-Esteem
  • Increased Sweating
  • Breathing Problems
  • Joint Problems
  • Limited Mobility
  • Depression
  • Social Discrimination

I will be going to my provider in the very near future to check to see if I can get off my medications for high blood pressure, high cholesterol and my diabetes.

My 8-year quest of being BANDED finally happened on June 27, 2012!!! While it will be nice to shed some pounds, my number one goal is to get HEALTHY ... And to get off ALL my diabetic meds and not have to rely on my CPAP at night and for naps. A few years back I made a decision to only surround myself with positive people and I have never looked back. At times I may be snarky perhaps a little wonky and I will apologize right now if I offend anyone as I blog about my life as I know it. Peace & love to all of my wonderful supporters.

  1. I no longer have the increased sweating (I seriously used to sweat just blow drying my hair, which made the whole process pointless), except when I exercise. And then I sweat like a BEAST. It’s actually a little embarrassing.

My blood pressure used to be borderline high, but my last reading was something like 118 over 69!
