Weather Worthy Walking

944576_192785910873894_192445645_nTwo nights this week I have gone for very long walks out doors and both times, I came away with wonderful feelings and a boost to my attitude too.  Yesterday while walking with my friend, the weather was so ideal and crisp out. There was a great breeze so it did not make our time out together too hot either. My perfect style for walking. And the last two times this week, I’ve felt the aches and pangs all over, head to toe. But I look at it as — it’s all positive and good for my shrinking body.

This morning, I went for a quick walk to a friend’s home to watch a three-year-old and a seven-month-old while their mommy had to run to work for a half hour. It was a good time and the children were so well-mannered too. Afterwards, all of us walked to the Bargain Shoppe in town and tooled around in there for a while. My friend got a lot of good deals and I just snooped around.

Once we parted, I walked the rest of the way back to my home and I realized my wonderful Asics that I have been walking in for a full year now — I believe are needing to be replaced. I can never tell when my shoes need to be replaced but I do know that this particular pair doesn’t feel all that swell now that I have been actively walking since my lap band was put in back in June 2012.

Now home, I have already consumed a 20 gram vanilla whey protein smoothie with just 2% milk — no fruit, no yogurt, just the protein powder and milk. And a lot of water.
I am motoring to my mom’s for an early supper tonight and I believe she is making one of my most favorite Czech soups. I made an appointment with my treadmill for later this evening during “48 Hours,” too. Keep on walking folks…. it truly does WONDERS for your soul.

My 8-year quest of being BANDED finally happened on June 27, 2012!!! While it will be nice to shed some pounds, my number one goal is to get HEALTHY ... And to get off ALL my diabetic meds and not have to rely on my CPAP at night and for naps. A few years back I made a decision to only surround myself with positive people and I have never looked back. At times I may be snarky perhaps a little wonky and I will apologize right now if I offend anyone as I blog about my life as I know it. Peace & love to all of my wonderful supporters.
